Find an event to watch
How to use the Find an event page to look up a tournament or a league by the course's name or town, and what each section of the page is for.
Quick answer. Open Find an event. Type the course's name or its town in the search box, and the page narrows to what matches as you type. Press the button on the event you want: Watch live, View event or See results.
Who can do this: anyone. No account needed.
Before you start
You need a phone or a computer and either the name of the course or the town it is in. If you have the link the director sent, use that instead. It goes straight to the event.
The steps
- Open the page. Go to Find an event. The top says "Find an event" and "No account needed".
- Look at what is listed. The page is split into sections. Only the sections that have something in them show up:
- Happening now has the events being scored right now. When someone has posted a hole, a line says who is Leading, with their score and how many holes they have played. Watch live opens the leaderboard.
- Coming up has the events in the next 60 days. View event opens the event's page.
- Leagues has the weekly leagues. See standings opens the season table. A league whose season is over says Final standings.
- Recent results has the events from the last 60 days. See results opens the final leaderboard.
- Or search. Click the search box ("Course name or town") and type. Try the course's name the way it appears on its sign, or just the town. The X at the end of the box clears it.
- Press the button on your event. Follow along live is what you will see next.
What you should see
Each event shows the club's name and town, the event's name, the day, the format and how many golfers are playing. A live event has a Live mark on it, and the section says "Scores refresh every minute".
If it goes wrong
- It says "Nothing matches" and your search. Check the spelling, or try just the town. Press Show everything to put the whole list back.
- The event is not on the page. A course can choose to keep its events off this page. And an event is listed only from 60 days before it starts until 60 days after it finishes. Ask the director for the link to the event. You do not need this page to watch it.
- It says "No events on the calendar right now". Nothing is listed at the moment. Check back, or ask the course for its link.
- You can find the course but not the event you want. The event may be on another day. Look in Coming up and Recent results as well as Happening now.
- A live event has no Leading line. It says "No scores posted yet" when play has not started or no group has entered a hole. Check back in a few minutes. For a match play event it says "Follow the bracket". For a Ryder Cup it says "Follow the cup scoreboard". Press Watch live and the full board is there.
Director's tip
Open your Club page and look under "Where golfers can find you". The switch there says Listed or Not listed. Listed puts your events on this page as you schedule them. Not listed keeps them off it, and your spectators then need the link from you. While you are there, fill in your town. The search box matches on it, and a club with no town is hard to find.
