Set up your tee sheet

Tell the sheet which days you are open, when the first and last groups tee off, and how far apart the times run. Do it once for each course, then change it any time from Sheet settings.

Quick answer. Open Tee Sheet and pick the course. A course that has no hours yet shows Set up the tee sheet; press it. Choose the days you are open, the first and last tee time for each day, and the minutes between tee times, then press Save. The sheet is live as soon as you save. To change any of it later, press More on the sheet and then Sheet settings.

Who can do this: an Admin or an Organizer of the club. We walked it as the Admin. At the counter the More menu has no Sheet settings.

Before you start

The course has to exist first: Add your course, tees and holes. If you have more than one course, each one has its own tee sheet and its own settings, so do this once per course.

The steps

  1. Press Tee Sheet in the side menu. If your club has more than one course, pick the course in the box at the top of the sheet.
  2. A course with no hours yet shows the heading Set up your tee sheet and the words "Tell us your first and last tee times and how far apart they run — two minutes, and the sheet is live for your staff." Press Set up the tee sheet.
  3. If the course is already set up, press More and then Sheet settings instead. You land on the same page, with the course's name under the heading.
  4. Read the top of the page. It says "Two minutes: when golf starts, when it ends, and how far apart the tee times run." A row of seven buttons names the sections: Days & hours, Tee times, Booking window, Online booking, Rounds, Rates and Events & pace. The sections run down the page in that order.
  5. Under Days & hours, each day of the week has a tick box and two time boxes, First tee time and Last tee time. Untick a day you are closed; its time boxes disappear and the word Closed appears. Change the times for any day that differs.
  6. Under Tee times, pick Minutes between tee times from 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 or 15 minutes, and Players per tee time from 1 to 6.
  7. Under Booking window, How far ahead can tee times be booked? offers 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years.
  8. Online booking is where you let golfers book from a link on their own phones. It has its own article: Let golfers book online.
  9. Press Save. A message says Saved and "Your tee sheet is ready." and you are taken back to the sheet.

What you should see

The sheet for the course, with a line like "0 of 304 spots booked · next open 3:32 PM" under the row of days. In our walk we saved a course with Monday closed, Sunday starting at 6:30 and 8 minutes between times. Wednesday's sheet ran 7:00 AM, 7:08 AM, 7:16 AM and on to 5:00 PM. Saturday began at 7:00 AM. Sunday began at 6:30 AM. Monday said "The course is closed on Mondays."

If it goes wrong

  • The sheet says "Set up your tee sheet". You may be looking at a course that has not been set up yet. Check the course box at the top of the sheet. In our walk the second course said this until it was saved, while the first course showed its times.
  • A day says "The course is closed on Mondays." (or whichever day it is). That day is unticked. Open More, Sheet settings, tick the day and give it a first and last tee time.
  • You do not see Sheet settings. It is for the club's Admin or Organizer. The counter's More menu does not have it. Ask them.
  • You changed the spacing and some bookings no longer line up. The page is written to stop and ask first, saying how many booked tee times would sit "off your grid" and that they would stay on the sheet so you can still move them. We did not walk this one.
  • You are looking for prices, season rates or event block sizes. Those live in the Rates and Events & pace sections of this same page. We did not walk those two sections, so this article says nothing about them.

Director's tip

Set your hours and spacing before you let anyone book. Then the first real booking lands on a time that will still be on the sheet next week.
