See the leaderboard and where you stand

How to open the live leaderboard, what each column means, switch between gross and net, and find your league standings.

Quick answer. Press View Leaderboard on your event page. The list is in order, first place at the top. Look at THRU before you read the order: a golfer who has played two holes is not yet ahead of one who has played eighteen.

Who can do this: any golfer. Signed in or not, the leaderboard opens the same way.

Before you start

Nothing to set up. Scores appear as soon as the group's scores are put in.

The steps

  1. Open it. On your event page, or on your card after you submit, press View Leaderboard. On your home page, All Leaderboards (under Standings & Leaderboards) lists every event and league you are in.
  2. Read the top of the page. It names the event and the format, and a status says Live Scoring while play is under way or Final Results when it is over.
  3. Pick Overall or a flight. When the director has set up flights, the tabs Overall, Flight A and Flight B show the whole field or one flight at a time.
  4. Pick Net or Gross. Under Scoring Mode, Net is shown to begin with: "Gross is raw strokes. Net adjusts for handicap." Press Gross to rank by raw strokes. The page says which one you are looking at ("Net scores are shown" or "Gross scores are shown"). In Gross, golfers on the same raw total share a rank, so three golfers on 72 are all T1.
  5. Read a row. From left to right: the rank, the golfer's name, and the number to par in the mode you picked (a minus is under par; E is even). Below it:
    • THRU is how many holes they have finished. F means finished all of them.
    • NET and GROSS are their totals so far. Gross mode shows only THRU and GROSS.
    • HCP is the handicap strokes that Net takes off.
  6. Find yourself. Your row has a YOU badge when you are signed in.
  7. See the holes. Tap a golfer's row to open their hole-by-hole scores, with the par for each hole above the score.
  8. Put it on a big screen. TV View opens a version made for a clubhouse screen.

What you should see

A golfer who has no score yet has a dash in place of the rank, and THRU shows a dash. A T in front of a rank, as in T4, means tied: two golfers share fourth place.

When the event is over, the page says Final Results at the top, and a banner says "OFFICIAL RESULTS. This event is complete — scores are locked and final."

If it goes wrong

  • Your score is not on it. Scores appear as each group's scores go in. If your group has not put in the hole yet, your row will not move. Ask the golfer holding the card to enter it (Score your round on your phone).
  • The board is not moving. If it says "This board doesn't update by itself.", press Show newest scores. Otherwise reload the page.
  • The order looks wrong. Check THRU. Someone who has played fewer holes can sit above someone who has played more. Then check whether you are on Net or Gross.
  • You cannot find yourself. Make sure you are signed in, and check that you are on the right tab. Overall shows everyone. If you play in a flight, you are also under Flight A or Flight B.
  • It says a golfer has no score, and you know they played. That group's scores have not been put in. Tell the director.
  • You want your league standing. On your home page under Standings & Leaderboards, each league says "You are 1st of 16" or whatever your place is. Press View Standings for the table.

Director's tip

Do not announce winners off the leaderboard while a group is still on the course. Wait until every row says F, then read the Final Results banner out loud.
