What happens when your trial or plan ends
The trial banner at the top of every page, what it says while your trial waits for its first event and while it counts down, and what we know about the day a trial or a plan ends.
Quick answer. A banner at the top of the page tells you where your trial stands. Before it ends, press Choose your plan → in the banner. We did not see a lockout: on a test copy of the app, a club whose plan had ended kept its menu and its pages, with a banner saying some features are off.
Who can do this: the club Admin chooses the plan. We saw the banner signed in as the Admin.
Before you start
We walked this on the demo club, at desktop width, on two clubs on a Club trial: one waiting for its first event, one counting down. We could not make a trial or a plan end on the demo club, so that part is labelled below.
The steps
- Read the banner. It starts "Club trial active".
- While your trial waits, it said "your 14 days start on" a date, "the day of your first event."
- Once your trial is counting, it said how many days are left, for example "Club trial active — 11 days remaining."
- Press Choose your plan → in the banner. The plans page opens. On a trial it said "You're currently on a Club trial." and "Subscribe before your trial ends to keep Club features."
- Check the date on the Billing page. Press Billing in the left menu. Under CURRENT PLAN it said "Club" and "TRIAL". On the waiting club it gave the date the 14 days start. On the counting club it said "Trial ends" with a date, and "Days remaining".
- Hide the banner for now with the button Dismiss trial banner, if you need the room.
- To keep Club features, subscribe before the trial ends. Your subscription: trial, upgrade, manage walks the plans page and the upgrade page.
What you should see
The banner "Club trial active" with Choose your plan → on each page we opened, and the trial's date under CURRENT PLAN on the Billing page.
If it goes wrong
- Your trial ended. We did not walk this one. In the app's code the banner then reads "Your Club trial ended", the date, and "you're on the Free plan now, so some features are off.", with Choose your plan →.
- Your plan ended. We saw this on a test copy of the app on 2026-10-10 and did not walk it again here. The banner read "Your plan ended October 6 — you're on the Free plan now, so some features are off." with See plans and renew →. The left menu kept every item. Creating a league opened the plans page instead.
- A screen says your plan does not include something. That is the plan, not a lockout. Why can't I see a menu or button? explains what each screen tells you.
- The page says "Account Suspended" or "Account Cancelled". That is not a trial ending. See My account is suspended or cancelled.
Director's tip
This one is our advice, not a rule of the app. Put the trial's end date in your own calendar the day the countdown starts. Choose a plan a few days before it, not on the last morning.
