Add your members

Put golfers on the league's roster one at a time or several at once, and take one off and put them back. Use it when a new member joins or someone drops out.

Quick answer. Open the league and press the Roster tab. Under Enrolled Players, type a golfer's name in the "Enroll player from org roster" box, pick the name and press Enroll. To add several, press Add several at once, tick the names and press the button that reads "Add" and the number you ticked. To take a golfer off, press Withdraw player on their row, and press Undo if you meant to keep them. The golfer has to be on your club's player list first.

Who can do this: an Admin. This was walked as an Admin. We did not walk it as an Organizer. Who can do what in your club has the full list.

Before you start

The golfer must already be on your club's player list. Press Players in the side menu, then Add Player. Add someone to your club shows how. The Roster box only finds golfers who are on that list. Start your league covers making the league itself.

The steps

  1. Open the league and press the Roster tab. The line Enrolled Players shows how many you have, such as "10 / ∞".
  2. To add one golfer, click the box under "Enroll player from org roster" and type part of the name. Pick the name from the list. A small label with the name and a × appears, such as "Ron Ashby ×". The Enroll button was greyed out until we picked a name. Press Enroll.
  3. The golfer appears in the table below, and the count goes up by one.
  4. To add several, press Add several at once. A panel opens with the golfers who are not on the league yet, each with a tick box. Tick the names you want. The button below reads "Add 2 players" or whatever number you ticked, and "Add 0 players" until you tick someone. Press it. The page says "Added 1 player." (or the number you added). Press Cancel to close the panel without adding anyone.
  5. To take a golfer off, find their row and press the small button named Withdraw player. Hold the pointer over the buttons on the row to read their names first. There is no question first. A bar appears, such as "Ron Ashby withdrawn from the league." with an Undo button, and the row shows Withdrawn with a Put back in button.
  6. To change your mind, press Undo on the bar, or Put back in on the row. The golfer is back on the roster.

What you should see

Every golfer you enrolled in the table under Enrolled Players, and a count that matches. A golfer who is already enrolled does not come up when you search: the box says, for example, 'No players found matching "Dave Prentiss"'.

If it goes wrong

  • You typed a name and the box found nobody. Either the golfer is already on the league, which is what we saw with a golfer who was already enrolled, or they are not on your club's player list yet. Add them under Players, then try again.
  • Enroll is greyed out. You have typed a name but not picked it. Pick the name from the list. The button's hover text says "Select a player first".
  • You pressed Withdraw player by mistake. Press Undo or Put back in. We pressed Undo and the row came back.
  • You want to know what withdrawing does to a golfer's past scores or standings. We did not walk that, so we cannot say.
  • Add several at once is missing a golfer. The panel lists only golfers who are not already on the league. If the one you want is not there, they are either enrolled already or not on the club's player list.
  • You want to email a golfer an invite. The row has a Send player invite button. Start your league says what it does. We did not press it in this walk.
  • You are an Organizer. We did not walk it as an Organizer.

Director's tip

Add your regulars all at once the week before, with Add several at once. Then enroll the stragglers one at a time as they turn up.
