Print the league flyer

One sheet for the pro shop window and the bulletin board, with a code golfers scan to enroll. Here is how to open it, what is on it, and what a golfer sees after scanning, including when registration is closed.

Quick answer. Open your league from Leagues, press the Promote tab, and press Open & Print Flyer. The sheet shows the club, the league's name, the season dates and a code that golfers scan with a phone to enroll. Look it over, then press Print Flyer. Check that registration is open first, or a golfer who scans the code finds a closed door.

Who can do this: an Admin or an Organizer. This was walked as an Admin. We did not walk it as an Organizer.

Before you start

Check the box called League Enrollment on the league's page. While registration is open it says OPEN and "Registration is open." When it is closed, a golfer who scans the flyer lands on the league's public page, which says Registration is closed and offers no way in. Print the flyer when you want new golfers, and hold it back when the roster is full.

The flyer prints only what you have filled in. A description and the dues per player show if you entered them. The QUESTIONS? lines show the club's phone number and email if the club has them. Leagues we walked without a description or dues simply print without those lines.

The steps

  1. Open the league. Press Leagues in the left menu, then the league's name.
  2. Press the Promote tab. It sits in the row with Standings, Roster, Schedule and Points Table.
  3. Press Open & Print Flyer. The box above it says "Print a flyer with a QR code so players can view standings and register from their phone."
  4. Read it top to bottom. From the top:
    • The club's name and address, and BACK9OPS.COM.
    • The game, such as STROKE PLAY.
    • The league's name and its season dates, such as "October 13 – January 13, 2027".
    • Your description and the dues per player, when you have entered them.
    • ENROLL ONLINE, then a code with SCAN TO ENROLL and Scan or visit online.
    • QUESTIONS? with the club's phone number and email.
  5. Press Print Flyer. The bar at the top has Back and Print Flyer. Your browser's own print window opens. Choose the printer and the paper, and print.

What you should see

For a league with a description and dues, the flyer shows the club's name HERON BEND GOLF CLUB (a fictional club), then STROKE PLAY, the league's name, the season dates, your description and the dues per player. Under ENROLL ONLINE sits the code. At the bottom, QUESTIONS? has the club's phone number and email.

A golfer who scans the code of an open league lands on its public page. It says ACTIVE SEASON with the league's name, then "Want to play in this league?" with Sign In to Register and Create Account, the season dates, the format, this week's groups and the standings. The page says someone new can create an account.

If it goes wrong

  • A golfer scans the code and sees "Registration is closed." Registration is closed on that league. Open it on the league's page if you want new golfers, or take the flyer down.
  • The flyer opens "Access Denied." We saw this when we typed a league number that does not exist. Go back to Leagues and open the flyer from the league's own Promote tab instead of typing the address.
  • No description or no dues on the flyer. Those lines print only when the league has them. Add them to the league, then reopen the flyer. We did not walk where those two are entered, so this article does not say.
  • No phone or email under QUESTIONS? The club has none on file. Without one, a golfer has no way to ask you from the sheet.
  • The code goes to a page you did not expect. Try it on your own phone before you print fifty copies.

Director's tip

This one is our advice, not a rule of the app. Put the flyer up at the start of the sign-up season, and take it down the week you close registration so nobody scans a dead end.

We did not walk the lines for a player limit or an enrollment deadline, and we did not walk the flyer of a league still in Draft, so this article does not describe them.

Still stuck?

Email support@back9ops.com and tell us the league's name, whether registration shows open or closed, and what the flyer or the scanned page showed.
