See who changed what (the audit log)
A list of recent changes in your club, newest first, with who made each one and when. Where to find it, how to read a row, and what it does not show.
Quick answer. Open the Tee Sheet, press More on the toolbar, then History. The page is called Audit Log. Its Recent Activity list shows the latest changes in your club, newest first, with When, Who and a sentence saying what happened.
Who can do this: a club Admin. An Organizer has no History button, and the page tells an Organizer "You don't have access to this page."
Before you start
Nothing to set up. The list fills in as people work. We saw no button on the page that changes a row.
The steps
- Press Tee Sheet in the left-hand menu.
- On the toolbar press More. A History button is in it. Its hint says "Who changed what on this sheet".
- Press History. The Audit Log page opens with a card called Recent Activity and a count of records.
- Read across a row:
- When is the date and time of the change.
- Who is the person. Changes made by a player on their own, such as cancelling their own place in an event, show System. Changes made from the counter screen show Front Desk, and the sentence adds "(front desk)".
- Description is the sentence to read. Examples we saw: "Tee sheet settings: booking window 7 days → 3 days · cancellation cutoff 2h → 24h", "Hole 18: 5 → 4 (admin correction: …)" and "Added Quinn Harlow to the front desk crew."
- The Action and Entity columns hold short labels meant for us, such as
teesheet.book,frontdesk.crew.addandTournament #19. Read the Description instead.
What you should see
The newest change is the first row. We added a person to the Front Desk Crew on the club's Settings page and the row "Added Quinn Harlow to the front desk crew." was at the top straight away. Removing them added "Removed Quinn Harlow from the front desk crew." Rows we saw covered the tee sheet (bookings, cancellations, check-ins, moves, settings), events (status changes, players added), score corrections, finalized league weeks, league rosters and the Front Desk Crew.
If it goes wrong
- You cannot find History. It is on the Tee Sheet toolbar under More, and only an Admin sees it. In the source, nothing else links to this page; we did not walk any other door.
- An Organizer opens the page and sees "You don't have access to this page." That is the Organizer view. An Admin reads this page. Why can't I see a menu or button? explains roles.
- A change you made is not in the list. Not everything is recorded. We turned the sign-in code on and off and saw no row for either. Do not treat this list as a complete record of everything anyone did.
- An old change is missing. In the source, the page reads the 200 newest records only; we did not walk past that.
- The page is empty. The page says "No audit records yet. Admin actions will appear here." We did not walk that state.
- Something else is wrong. Email support@back9ops.com with what you expected to find and when it happened.
Director's tip
This one is our advice, not a rule of the app. When a score or a booking looks wrong, open this page before you ask around. One row usually tells you who touched it and what it was before.
