Your club's public page and TV board

Fill in what golfers see at your club's public link, pick a colour, say hello, and choose which sections show and in what order. Also where the club-wide TV board lives and what it shows when nothing is live.

Quick answer. Press Club Page in the side menu. Fill in the boxes (name, headline, welcome note, colour, contact details), choose which sections show and in what order, and press Save club page. Press See your page to look at what golfers see. The club-wide TV board is a separate page with /tv in its address. We saw it only on a day with nothing live.

Who can do this: an Admin or an Organizer of the club. We walked it as the club Admin.

Before you start

Have your club's name, a contact email and phone, and a line or two of welcome. If your club has courses, add them first: the public page shows a table of them.

The steps

  1. Press Club Page in the side menu. The page is headed Your club page and says "What golfers see at your public link. Pick a color and a photo, say hello, and choose which sections show — the rest stays out of your way."
  2. Under Your club, fill in the Club name (it has a star, so it is needed), Tagline, Contact email, Phone, Street address, Town or city, State or region, ZIP and Country. There is also a Logo with an Upload logo button. The page says that when the town is filled in, your club's address is published in a form Google can read as a place. We did not check that.
  3. Under The look, pick the Club color. The page says "Buttons and section headers use it. Text stays readable — we pick white or dark lettering for you." In our walk we changed the colour and the Book a Tee Time button on the public page turned to the new one. There is also a Course photo ("A wide photo works best. JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 4 MB."). We did not upload a logo or a photo.
  4. Under A few words, type a Headline and a Welcome note. Under Links, type your Website. In our walk the headline and the welcome note showed at the top of the public page.
  5. Under What shows, and in what order, each row has an up arrow and a down arrow and says Shown or Hidden. The rows are Next open tee times, Events, Leagues and Past results. In our walk, moving Leagues above Events changed the order on the public page, and hiding Past results took that section away.
  6. Press Save club page. A message says "Club page saved" and "Your public page reflects it now." The page says "Changes show on your public page right away."
  7. Press See your page. The public page is at your club's link. It shows your club's name, tagline and address, your email and phone, a Book a Tee Time button, a Sign In button ("Already play here? Sign in for your events and scores."), and the sections you left on: THE COURSE, NEXT OPEN TEE TIMES, COMING UP, LEAGUES and PAST RESULTS.

The club TV board

Your club's TV board has two addresses. On our demo club they were /tv/heron-bend-golf-club and /o/heron-bend-golf-club/tv, which is /tv on the end of the public page's address. Anyone can open it. We opened it without signing in. With nothing live, it said "No live events right now" and "The leaderboard appears here the moment scoring goes live." We did not see it with a live event, so we say nothing about how it looks then. For an event's own TV view, see Put the leaderboard on the TV.

We looked for a button inside the app that opens this club-wide board and did not find one. Type the address on the TV's browser.

What you should see

After saving, the public page shows what you typed, in the colour and order you chose.

If it goes wrong

  • You changed something and the public page looks the same. Press Save club page. In our walk the public page changed after we pressed it.
  • A section is missing from the public page. Look at its row under What shows, and in what order. It says Hidden when it is off.
  • You want the club off the Find-an-event page. The page has a box called Listed, with the words "Switching this off hides the club and its events from that page and from the sitemap; your club page stays reachable by its link." We did not use it.
  • The TV board says "No live events right now". That is what it says when nothing is being scored. We did not see it with scoring going on.
  • You want to know what your plan allows. We did not walk any plan, so we cannot say. Ask us at support@back9ops.com.

Director's tip

After you save, open See your page in a private window, the way a golfer who is not signed in would. Then you see exactly what they see.

Still stuck?

Email support@back9ops.com and tell us your club's name and what the page showed.

Still stuck?

Email support@back9ops.com and tell us what you were trying to do. It helps to include the event or league name and what kind of phone or computer you are on.
