Your league: standings, schedule and your week

Where to find your league, your place in the standings, the whole season at a glance, your group and tee time for the week, and how to tell your director you are in or out.

Quick answer. Press Leagues in the bar at the bottom of your screen, then League Home on your league. The top of the page says which week of the season it is and where you stand. Under it are your place in the standings, the whole season at a glance, and, for the next round, two buttons: I'm in and I'm out this week. For your group and tee time, press Week Details.

Who can do this: any golfer who is signed in and has been added to a league by the director.

Before you start

You need to be signed in, and the director has to have put you in the league. Signing in, and what to do if you cannot covers signing in. We walked these pages on a phone-sized screen. We did not walk anything in the phone app.

The steps

  1. Open your leagues. In the bar at the bottom, press Leagues. The page is headed "My Leagues" and says "Choose a league to open your clubhouse." Each league you are in has a card with its name, "Plays at" and the course, a small label for where the week stands (we saw PAIRINGS POSTED and ROUND TODAY), the kind of game (we saw Stroke Play), how many rounds the season has (such as "13 rounds") and where you stand (such as "3rd of 8").
  2. Open the league. Press League Home on the card. Two of the three cards we saw also had View Pairings; the card with ROUND TODAY on it had only League Home. In our walk, View Pairings opened the league's home page and not a separate list. Your group is on Week Details, in step 5.
  3. Read the top of the page. It shows the league's name, the course, "SEASON" with a line such as "WEEK 6 OF 10", and "YOUR RANK" with a line such as "1ST OF 16".
  4. Read the round cards. Under that are cards for the round in front of you. We saw "Next Round · Week 6" with "Scoring is not open yet." and a View Details button. We saw the last round, marked FINAL, with "Results are final." and the buttons View Scorecard and View Standings. We saw "NEXT ROUND" with a date and time ("Thursday, Oct 15 · 5:30 PM"), and "Pairings are not posted yet." on a league where the director had not posted them. When pairings are posted the line is "Pairings are posted." Press Week Details to open that week.
  5. See your group and your tee time. On Week Details the top says which week it is, for example "Week 1 · Monday Night Nine", and, once the director has put you in a group, a line such as "You're in Group 2 · Tee time 5:08 PM · Start on Hole 1". Further down, Your Group lists the group, the tee time, the starting hole and the names of the players with you. Round Details says whether the pairings are posted ("Pairings are posted.") and whether the scorecards are ready ("Scorecards are ready."). The buttons on the page are Back to League Home, View Standings and View Pairings. On a finished week there is also View Submitted Score.
  6. Find your place in the standings. On the league home, YOUR POSITION says "You are 1st out of 16 players." and names the leader. Under it is a short table with the columns RANK, PLAYER and STROKES. Your own row has YOU beside your name. Press View Full Standings for everyone. In the league we walked, with eight players, it listed all eight.
  7. See the whole season. Further down is a bar called SCHEDULE with "What else is coming?" and "Your season at a glance." under it. Under the bar there is one row for each week, such as "Week 1 · Thu, Sep 10". A week that has been played is marked FINAL and says what you shot ("You shot 40"), or "No score recorded" if there was none. In the league where we had a score every week, each played week had two buttons, View My Scorecard and View Results. The week that said "No score recorded" had only View Results. View Results opens that week's Week Details. A week still to come says "Coming up". The rows are open when you arrive. We pressed the bar and the rows closed, and we pressed it again and they came back.
  8. Tell your director if you are in or out. Under "NEXT ROUND" the page asks "PLAYING?" and has two buttons, I'm in and I'm out this week. Press I'm out this week and the page adds "— your commissioner can see this" beside the buttons. We reloaded the page and the line was still there. Press I'm in and the line goes. We pressed both on one league. The other league we looked at showed a "Last Round" card and no "NEXT ROUND" card, and its home page did not have the buttons.

What you should see

On the league home: the week of the season, your rank, your place in the table, and the rows of the schedule. After I'm out this week: the line "— your commissioner can see this", which stays after a reload until you press I'm in.

If it goes wrong

  • A league you expect is not on My Leagues. Ask the director whether you have been added to it. The golfer we walked was in three leagues, so we did not see what the page shows for a golfer with none.
  • A league shows no "Next Round" date. My Leagues names only a week your director has published. A week still in draft on their side is not shown, so a league can read IN SEASON until they publish the next one. Ask your director.
  • "Pairings are not posted yet." The director has not made the groups for that week. Come back later. Your group and tee time are on Week Details once they are posted. In the Inbox of our demo club we also saw a "Pairings posted" message from the director.
  • The buttons for in and out are not on the page. We saw them under a "NEXT ROUND" card on one league. The other league we looked at showed a "Last Round" card instead and did not have them. We did not find out everything that decides when the page shows them. Ask the director if you cannot tell them you are out.
  • You pressed I'm out this week by mistake. Press I'm in. In our walk the line "— your commissioner can see this" went away. We did not look at what the director sees, so we cannot say how the change shows on their side or how fast.
  • The standings look odd to you. The table has one row per player, with a rank and a strokes number. This page does not explain how the director set the scoring. Ask the director about it. We walked a stroke play league only and did not walk any other league format.
  • The schedule rows are not there. Press the SCHEDULE bar once. In our walk the rows were open on arrival and a press closed them, and another press opened them again.

We did not walk these on the league home: Share live scores, a line for a week the director has held back, any league that is not stroke play, and the director's own view of the same league.

Director's tip

This one is our advice, not a rule of the app. Ask your golfers to press I'm out this week as soon as they know, instead of telling you at the first tee. We did not walk what you see on your own screen when they do, so check it on yours before you plan groups around it. A sub is playing this week is the page for putting someone in their place.
