Your profile and your schedule
Where a golfer sees their handicap and Back9Ops number, what is coming up and what they have played, how to fix their own details, and why a league night can show on one page and not on another.
Quick answer. Press Profile at the bottom of the screen. The top shows your handicap and your Back9Ops number, and four tabs sit under it: Upcoming, History, Edit Profile and League Moments. For a plain list of what is coming up, press Open My Schedule on your home page, or go to My Schedule.
Who can do this: any golfer signed in to their own account. We walked it as a golfer at one club and did not walk it for a golfer at two clubs.
The steps
See where you stand.
- Press Profile in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Read the card at the top. It has your name and club, then YOUR BACK9OPS NUMBER (it looks like B9-1234-5678), HANDICAP, EVENTS and STATUS. A handicap with no date on record shows "⚠ No update date" under it.
See what is coming up.
- Stay on the Upcoming tab. It has two lists. Upcoming League Weeks shows each of your leagues' next published night with its date, week number and start time, and the buttons Open League Week and View Standings. Your Upcoming Events shows each event with View Event, and I can't make it for an event you can still drop out of.
See what you have played.
- Press the History tab. It counts your league weeks, your events, your rounds and your average gross score per round, then lists Past League Weeks and Events You've Played with the scores recorded.
Fix your own details.
- Press the Edit Profile tab. You can upload a photo (the page says PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2 MB) and change your first and last name and your Handicap Index. GHIN Number says "Managed by your operator." Your emails, your club and your Back9Ops number are listed but are not editable here. Press Save Changes.
- To change your login email or your password, scroll to Advanced identity settings at the bottom of the same tab and press Open Identity Settings (Advanced).
Choose which alerts reach you.
- Press the League Moments tab. The top of it is Moment Alerts, a list of tick boxes such as Matchups & pairings posted and Score reminders. Press Save Moment Preferences after you change them. Below that is My League Moments, a list of what has happened in your leagues, each with Open and Mark read. Your inbox and notifications covers the rest.
See it as a calendar list.
- Press Open My Schedule on your home page, or go to My Schedule. The page is headed My Schedule with Coming up under it. Each line is a day, a name and a word about it: Event · the course for an event, or Week 4 · League night for a league night. Press a line to open it.
What you should see
On our demo golfer's phone the profile showed a handicap, 14 events, an Active status and a count on each tab. The schedule listed seven lines in date order, six events and one league night.
If it goes wrong
- A league night is missing from your Profile page, My Schedule and your home page. All three show the same next night for each league, and only a night your director has published. A night that is still a draft on the director's side is not shown to golfers anywhere. If the night you expect is missing, ask your director whether they have published the schedule. Your league: standings, schedule and your week shows the same night on My Leagues.
- An event you signed up for is not on My Schedule. The schedule leaves out a day that has already gone by. Check the date on the event's own page.
- "⚠ No update date" under your handicap. Your club has no date on record for that number. Tell your director if the number itself looks wrong. We did not walk what clears the warning.
- You pressed Save Changes and saw nothing happen. We did not see a message after saving in our walk, so open the tab again and look at the box you changed.
- The History tab says "Loading history…" a moment. Wait a few seconds for the lists to fill in.
Director's tip
This one is our advice, not a rule of the app. When a golfer asks "am I playing Saturday?", send them to My Schedule first. It is one short list, and it saves you a text.
